The work also included two 230kV, single bay H-frame structures; four 230kV, two bay H-frame structures; four 230kV, three phase disconnect switches; three 230kV breakers; one 230kV single-phase Station Service Voltage Transformer SSVT; and all corresponding bus work. Because the substation is connected to PPL’s 500kV yard, all outage timeframes had to be minimized. To support this, below-grade work that could be completed outside of an outage was advanced through summer months.
