This $38 Million construction project provided for operational and safety improvements of the highly trafficked (85,00 daily vehicles) New Jersey Turnpike Interchange 9 in East Brunswick in order to relieve congestion from Route 18 and Route 1.

The work consisted of roadway reconstruction, replacing three bridge superstructures, bridge widening over Turnpike ramp “TW”, construction of a new bridge, utility relocation, paving, overhead sign structures, drainage, roadway lighting, traffic signals, concrete barrier curb, retaining walls, sheeting and drilled shafts.  Boswell provided the daily construction management and oversight of the project for the NJTA and ensured that work was being constructed according to the plans and specifications.
